Before you do anything try one of the 15" rims on the car (front and rear) to make sure they will clear the brakes.

do the 15's fit over your disc brake calipers? I diced my 17" alloys for a set of 16" steelies and some 33s recently because 16" tires were more readily available and cheaper. Steelies are good because you can repair them out bush. You'd certainly get a set of 33s to bag really well on 15 inch rims.

Ha! Tony beat me to it!

X3 on clearing the calipers. But i would have said 15" tyres are more readily available and easy to get?? Thats definately the case around here. 15" are cheaper. 15" rims have to be 8" inch wide to fit 33" tyres. I had to upgrade to 8" wide to fit 33's.

I would go 15s if they fit i run 15 with 33s on my 98 gu and find them cheaper to replace when needed

I just put 16" alloys with neg 15 offset on my gu and I feel it handles better, on my gq i run 15s cause tyre prices were better at the time, also 15" rims won't fit on the 4.8Ltr patrol as it has the bigger brakes.

Well well, first congrats on reaching 4 posts....lol
Now to your delema, What to do,
As for your mate around the corner helping you in this heat hahahaha your screwed.
A couple of options for you to ponder on, knowing the dramas with wheels and tyres you had on the paj, I would
A/ buy a set of 16 x 8 steelies and put your current tyres on them, and sell the alloys and the 15s with good tyres, then you can buy some niiiccee rubber,
B/ Sell the jetski and buy what ever you want...lol I know the miss's doesn't think that's a good idea if you plan on getting another when you miss it, and you will.
C/ Sell both the 15s and the alloys and work a Saturday and get what you want,

My opinion, if your Trol was manufactured with 16s why would you go 15s. And besides if I remember correctly didn't the 15s come off a toymota. That's gotta bring bad karma,
Anyway that's my $1s worth, and if ya want to do the wheels, you know I will help ya buddy, but on a Saturday under 35deg with a bottle of scotch to help things along
Enjoy

What does your tyre placard say about tyre/wheel sizes, if 15" aren't mentioned then I guess you could get defected.

I'd go 15's actually I did hahaha it came with 16's. I went 15's as ya get more side wall an inch as it turns out or 1/2 inch all round. Just remember the rim height won't change your speedo the tyre height does;-). In saying that mine at 110 is actually doin 105kmh according to the garmin gps

Edit: that's with 33's

There's a thread here somewhere with a link to a few sites to work out tyre size/Speedo changes
