I want to see a video of it clocking the 1million...lol

My friend up in Airlie Beach has a TD42 GQ ute and it is now up to 1.2million. He drives all over Australia doing installations and uses Ryco filters and has never missed a beat or had any serious mechanical problems.

He probably spend more on fuel each month than the car is worth.

Still, 900,000km, thats a lot of driving.........

Cheers!

Oh, the MK is a tough rig:)
I had a 1986 MK161 some years ago with 780 000 on an odometer. Engine was still in quite good condition when i sold it. Some years later i saw the owner, he said the rig has almost 900 000 km, engine burns oil a bit, but rust has made its work and he can not ride without a hard welding job. Rust is the car killer here, snow with salt everywhere 4 months in a year...

Also i know a Russian guy, his MQ160 odometer broke about 6 years ago at 1,2M. He has changed the engine once, but he drives minimum 60-70 thousand per year and the rig is still running. But looks really tired...:)

A friend has an old nissan 720 ute with the SD25 engine. It has 560,000 on it and the odo hasnt worked in the 3 years he's owned it. Not sure how long it stopped working before he bought it. Burns a bit of oil and lacks compression but starts first go. As has been said above, rust is the killer.....the chassis snapped on the rear spring shackle!
