Engine Fans

Hi all,

Does anyone know if the engine fan only bolts up one to the viscous clutch hub or can it bolt up both ways?

when I bought my replacement they wanted to know the details of the bolt pattern. So, unless someone has made one with both patterns, I reckon not

There are 2 bolt pattens for my Q when I replaced mine, cannot remember them though.
It only went on one way, but pays to check when removing the old one.

Cheers Guys, I don't need the info as I have thermo fans, but I have had a PM from another member who has auto trans heat issues and I think water temp issues.

Wasn't sure if one could put the fans on backwards which would cause drama's.

Will try and get him 2 post up his problems.

You can bolt the fan on backwards i spose, but generally IF ya look which way it comes of,rebolting the same should be right
The tails of the fan blades should be facing towards the cab or body , not the radiator
There are 2 different bolt patterns for the GQs , TD 42 and TB42 are different
Todd , as for auto trans and heating issues, yeah could be another drama, blocked rad or maybe go to a remote trans cooler, especially IF said mate is towing
