hey all,

just through i post this link

"The Australian Early Warning Network (EWN) provides emergency alerts covering everything from tsunamis through to severe weather. EWN monitors and tracks potentially dangerous weather systems and uses the network to alert people directly in the path of an event such as a thunderstorm with the potential for hail, flash flooding or damaging winds"

sign up then when there is a storm or anything in your area they will SMS the details

saved my troll from hail last year :cool:

got that at 4:30pm today and still is a current warning

that 1 is a good storm. black on the radar. has taken down trees and BIG hail if you are in its path.

them alerts are very handy here in seq

I had just finished cleaning & drying the spa when it hit Thagoona - side ways rain got into it & was about a foot deep in 15-20mins...

its a good program but the alerts can be too much at times

Good idea, but if your mobile do you have to keep updating your location or does it send a broadcast sms to all registered users currently in the effected area?

try being a rescue worker they ring you if a leaf is falling all because there have been so many storms and etc
