Speedo pegging at full rotation.

Don't expect a solution but maybe someone else has had it happen as well.

For no apparent reason but it's happening more frequently, Driving along, generally lowish speeds and the speedo suddenly pegs at full clockwise direction. A good thump or two on the dash usually fixes it but its a bit disturbing.

It sounds like you may have a bad connection/solder joint in your instrument cluster.

It is also common for the speedo sender to give erratic readings when they are about to die.

lol.....hows that for a bet each way.

Because it seems to fix the problem when you thump the dash I would remove the speedo and re solder the joints first.
