Just wondering how much oil I need to purchase when I service my car

more than 5 litres and less than 10:-) Depends also on whether you change the filter. I use 'the letter after Y'-9s (don't ask, keyboard issues :-) ) rather than what is listed.

I assume you are talking engine oil. front diff, gear box, transfer case and rear diff would add to the shopping list

Specifically engine oil capacity, but I will be changing diffs gbox transfer and steering pump also, giving it a major service after being neglected for many years...

I've hears 8.2 l for the engine, but don't quote me on that . Dan

don't do what I did, and buy an oil drain pan that is just big enough. It makes it a pain to pour the waste oil into a container :-)

Hi mate, the books say 8.2 litres, some others say 8.5 litres. I have used a bit over 8.2 (probably 8.35) with a filter change.
