Rear window problem

I have a 98 Safari and the rear windows will not go down. Some motor noise, but no movement. Any ideas?

Hmmm .. do you have front controls for the rear as well as each window in the rear itself? None of the buttons work? Be odd for both to go so sounds wiring related - others on here will have some ideas no doubt mate.

I would check if the window clips are still connected to the Motor.

If you can hear the electric window motors working when you press the switch, then the wiring and switches are ok.

I would say there is something wrong with the drive mechanism, you will need to remove the door trim and have a look.
