Thats only because water can get in through the rust holes in the floor and poor door seals and acts as a ballast :P

they sure do float, which is a bit of a bugger when ya tryin to cross a backwater 6foot off the side of the murray!
But they do sink in the end tho!

Idiots..? Why? They didnt steal your 4by and do it. They'r not "ruining the tracks". They didnt make any one else pull them out. They're not doing burnouts in a carpark. They're not speeding on a HWY.
Its their vehicle, good on them! Id give it a go in the old MQ but i know for sure it wouldnt float lol
Its good for people to keep pushing the boundaries....thats how we advance.... we didnt get snorkels by driving on dry ground.
I think its awesome! Looks like great fun! The challenge, the adrenaline.

i ended up doing something similar about 6 or 7 years ago in my gu at the time.. it handled it well but over the next couple weeks my alternator packed it in as did the starter motor so it became an expensive trick but the motor never missed a beat!!!

I wonder if they saw mythbusters. Once you are under water the only way to open doors or windows is wait patiently for the car to fill above door line. Panick and you will run out of oxygen. Always wind back windows down a inch now when driving though water.

Totally agree. That was soooo WICKED - and the best thing is, that it wasn't my truck that did it. lol
