Hi guys, I have been changing the way I enter new members into the members map, Instead of using Google maps directly, I am using Google Earth then saving it as a KML file, going back into Google maps and importing the saved KML file.

The main reason for this long way around of entering new members is,

In Google Earth, I can have each state separate in there own folder so 2 speak....it looks something like this

NSW
QLD
VIC
WA

etc

when you open the folders up you get

NSW

toddrhind
etc ( rest of NSW members )....

QLD

bigrig
etc ( rest of QLD members )...

VIC

AB
etc ( rest of VIC members )...

WA

The Dogman
etc ( rest of WA members )....

Unfortunately when I import that info back into Google maps, I loose the subfolders....

and get

toddrhind
etc ( rest of NSW members )....
bigrig
etc ( rest of QLD members )...
AB
etc ( rest of VIC members )...
The Dogman
etc ( rest of WA members )...

At the moment I an struggling 2 achieve what i want ( displaying it grouped by state ) for you guys 2 see. The only way I can see it happening is by making the map public for all in www land 2 see ( if they wanted 2 ), currently it is what they call unlisted which means that only people with the link can view it.

So my long winded question 2 you guys is

Leave it as is - Unlisted

Or

Make it public for all to see

god hope i haven't confused anyone *L*

If making it public makes it easier to do, then go for it. Glad you are here as I have no idea what your post said:redface:
