Hey all,
I'm taking on a project putting a gq td42 into a gu rd28 1998 patrol.

Seeing as the td42 motor i'm putting in will not be a factory fitted motor, what snorkel should i buy?

should i buy a rd28 snorkel, zd30 snorkel, td42 snorkel or it doesn't matter they're all the same?

I think the main difference would be the inlet to the car for the airbox.

I would be getting a TD42 snorkel to match up to your airbox. have you got the standard pizza box air filter on top of the engine or is it in the front left side of engine bay?

will be using the standard rd28 airbox in the front left corner... maybe that's the answer.... buy an rd28 snorkel

Or you could increase the room in your engine bay, by getting rid of the air and adding a performance air filter. That way, you could place it anywhere and place the snorkel in accordance.
I have an IGT performance air filter in my ZD30 GU. it kicks ass man.
