Awsome, the set up and the trip.
Pods are fantastic once you have set it up like you have, and Rosco and me aswell :smileyvault-cute-bi
Be so easy to camp on the Hay River, great destination. Simpson is so lush at the moment a mate got back last weekend said its 80% bush 20% sand, expect some bush pinstripes.
Have a good one mate

Thanks macca,
There will be a short video of the bush pin striping "live" put up soon.
Your mate was right about the growth, sometjmes it was like driving through scrubland, not a desert.

There was plenty of these little bush rats at the camp ground and they would come up to
everyone sitting around the fire waiting to be fed.
They were as tame as anything so nothing was left out for them to chew on at night
except one guy forgot his esky and croc shoes which were nibbled by the time the sun came up.

Everyone left their bonnets up to let the cars cool, as there had been reports of warm cars having the wiring harnesses chewed on during the nights.

That is one of their "race tracks" from tree to tree in the pic.
These tracks were everywhere in the campground, with lots of nocturnal activity heard during
the wee hours.

Most of the inscriptions on the "DIG" tree have nearly been grown over.
Considering they were done 150 years ago it's not surprising.

The face of Burke is on another tree next to the DIG one, it was done quite a few years later
and is being covered slowly also.

A lot of the river bank has washed away when compared to the 1927 photo.
