I have nicked one of my brake lines with an angle grinder and its leaking. i intend to replace the entire line, however thought i would play around with an emerg repair kit in case i ever needed it. Can anyone recommend a simple repair kit, something like a flare nut assy i am thinking, to suit the GQ patrol line size?

G`Day Mate.
There are two ways, one is to put a joiner in the line BUT you will need a flaring tool as you will need to cut the line and put two tube nuts , one on each to screw into the joiner. Second way is to get a short piece of bundy tube ie brake tube the next size up then cut the damaged tube slide the bundy tube over the damaged section and solder, preferably silver solder the new tube in place.

Hope this is of some help.

Thanks, I have seen the socket set up with the two compression ends for sale already, just wanted to see if anyone had some other options. The solder job sounds fine also however , of course, the angle grider hit the tube on a bend, so its a bit tricky with the mech set ups. I do have a tube bender and a tube cutter so might fiddle around for the experience.

Pick up one of those 4-packs of the chinesest "vice grips" you see in the bargain bins everywhere. Keep em in the glovebox.
Damage brake line? pinch it off with one pair.
When you get down to one pair left in the glovebox then you need to fix your brake lines :D
