When we changed the stock seats in the DX for some buckets I wanted a console to fit between them.

Couldnt find any thing in Aus so bought one of these on eBay.

Bent some 20x3mm flat and it sits about 100 above the floor. Put some piano hinge on the front so it tilts up and our raincoats live under there in a small canvas bag. There is a map book pocket that Dad made out of ply behind it which takes those bulky books we like to have with us. so it works good.

Would have prefered one of these,

but a ute doesnt have enough room from the rear of cab to the shifter.

From memory the frieght was over $100.00, they had other stuff on their site so I bought up large and packaged togeather, it was covered by the same postage.

The only ones I could find here were fairly ordinary and cost a bomb.

One had a removable soft bag held in by velcro, didnt like it at all and was over $300.00.

Took us a while to put it all togeather, we are happy with it now and find it suits our needs
