I run 100w 6000k HID's in a set of CIBIE SUPER OSCAR 200s & all I can say is there like the finger of God.

Theirs a bit of work fitting them ( I fitted the HID's to my existing lights) but its not hard to do for someone with a little nous.

You can buy lights with HID's already installed & they take no more to fit then a regular set of driving lights to install.

LED's are a stunning light but a bit on the pricey side for what they punch out IMO.

HID are brilliant, I fitted 55w HID bulbs in Narva Ultima 175 spotlights that are fitted to my work van, I could never go back to halogen now there is just no comparison. For a total investment of around $330 (lights $180, HID bulb kit $150) they put out twice the light of the much larger Hella Rallye 2000 lights with 100w halogen bulbs that were on my Patrol.
My advice, get 4300k color bulbs (with HID you can choose the color) any higher and reflections/back glare of road signs and fog gets worse. 4300k is the closest to daylight color.

I agree with the above, once you get HID's you'll never go back.
Personally I would stay below 5000k, much better light to the eyes
