It was a bit chilly at Purnie Bore before the Simpson crossing!! Ice on the solar panel,
roof, windscreen and bonnet when we woke up.
Nice sunrise though.

A few more of the trip,
Sorry, they are out of order but easy enough to pick which is which.

Third one is driving on the Old Ghan Railway Line route, the road is still randomly scattered with old
dog spikes, great for staking a tyre!
We stopped to pick a few up, they kept you on your toes dodging them while driving, others were
hidden in the dust.

Then on to Dalhousie ruins,(the better half and myself), and another sunset.

More of the desert track and one of the many soft shallow lakes we had to detour around.
Last place you would want to be bogged, in the middle of one of those!!

Next was taken on top of Big Red, looking towards Birdsville and another lake to detour around.
Then yet another sunset, every night was just magnificent to sit and watch the sun going down.

I can't believe I missed this thread.

Well done Gav. It's given me a bit more incentive to hurry up and get my troll finished.

Any pros 'n cons of your camping set up? Anything you'd do differently next big trip?

Take care out there.
