if south east queensland around brisbane check out mt mee or rainbow beach. or check this site out http://ozcamps.net/freecampinglist.php?pageNum_rsMap=0&totalRows_rsMap=124&st=QLD start from the end of the maps for east coast as the maps go from west to east and can only view so many in a minute. web site explains this.

d'Aguilar national park is goo place to visit http://www.derm.qld.gov.au/parks/daguilar/camping.html#archer_campground nice and scenic creek to swim in toilets. wineries about the place for the adults and just a plesant easy drive but also some tricky stuff if you get some maps online of the place
