Hi guys, I have a TB45 2000 model with 4 inch lift 3's and roof rack with bullbar and all that. I know there a thirsty car but just seeing if people are getting the same out of there gas usage, I have a 100 gas tank and get about 300-340 k's out of a tank and my petrol tank is 72 litre and get about 350 k's, does it sound right with the gas consumption?

To work out you Consumption you need to fill up your Gas Tank and drive for say 285 K's and then fill Gas Tank again (Preferably at the same Service Station)

You then divide the Litres taken to fill by 2.85 (That is the number of 100 K's)
Therefor if it takes 57 Litres to fill 57 divided by 2.85 equals 20 and therefor your usuage is 20 Litres per 100 K's

I have a 4.5 1998 Gu and I achieve 18/19 Litres per 100K's on a trip and around 22/23 Litres per 100K's around Town

A 100 Gas Tank does not have 100 Litres useable. You have to use the above procedure to calculate Fuel Consumption

Your useage on Gas appears to be 29/33 Litres per 100 K's which is rather high. and so is your Petrol consumption of 20 Litres per 100 K's

Roof Rack and Lifts with bigger tyres wiil affect fuel consumption

I get about 400kms out of 95lts = 23.7lt per 100k's if i drive hard to normal
and about 440kms out of 95lts = 21.5lt per 100k's if i drive like bob LOL ;)

Although i have not done a calculation since i put the 33" tyres on and im in two minds which way it will go ??
with the 33s it revs about 200-300 revs lower at 100k's (better fuel economy) but i loose power for the hills so it works harder (not so good for fuel economy)
Ahh i dont know brains hurting.
Ive never been rich enough to do a fuel calc with that expensive stuff called unleaded LOL

your fuel consumption seems a tad high
like BOB i have a 4.5 on gas and average 18l per 100ks,i have managed 426 ks out of the gas but that emptying the gas tank right out
as for petrol mot a lot you can do for that, you either tune for gas or petrol aye
take it to the shop have it dyno,d have the gas air ratio balanced and see how that goes, DONT FORGET BIG RUBBER AND ROOF RACKS DOES AFFECT ITS PERFOMANCE.

good luck with it

Yeah I'm going to book it in at barnes high performance on the coast and get it dyno to see it might help, yeah I figured with bigger tyres, roof rack and all the rest, fuel usage would be pretty high.

My TB45e dual fuel gets about 23-24L/100km around town on LPG and about 20-21L/km on petrol. Country running gets better at about 19L/100km LPG and about 17-18L/100k on petrol. Varies with crap inside and whether the roofrack is on as Roofy says.
