Y62 Patrol Blown Gearbox

So I have a 2017 Patrol with 85,000klm on it an 2 and a bit months out of 3 year warrany and gearbox has blown up. Took back to nissan and they said we cannot assist you.
Called back in March when still under warranty to get gearbox serviced as it did not feel good and there response was (The box is a sealed non serviceable item)
Thank you Nissan, see you in court.
PS got quoted $15k by nissan to repair

My 545i BMW had a non servicable auto trans in it - simply drove it until it went into limp mode, then flat bed it back to BMW for a change out with a new one - cost me 22k from memory, BMW dont hold stock of much, so it was air freighted from Germany, quick though, only out of my hands 5 days. This is the reason i now drive a Subaru for my daily!

Automatic transmission is maintenance free up to 120000klm, this is Nissan’s maintenance schedule

Only 85k that's insane, nissan service manual recommends changing the transmission fluid every 40k or so by nissan matic oil.
