COULD WE HAVE A INDEX LIKE THIS FOR SOME STICKY ITEMS LIKE THE ONES SETOUT BELOW TO MAKE IT EASIER TO FIND THREADS.

Don't the stickies stay at the top of their respective categories anyway? Or have I misunderstood Bob's idea?

yES THEY DO MATE BUT I HAVE ALWAYS FOUND THAT IT TAKES A BIT OF SEARCHING THROUGHT THE VARIOUS THREADS TO FIND THEM.

I JUST THOUGHT THAT IF WE COULD HAVE AN INDEX OF THE MOST USEFUL THREADS IN ONE PLACE AND ONE CLICK AND YOU ARE THERE.

I AM PROBABLY BEING LAZY BUT SOMETIMES I HAVE KNOWN THAT THERE HAS BEEN A THREAD ON A PARTICULAR SUBJECT AND WHEN YOU DO A SEARCH YOU HAVE ALL POSTS ON THAT WORD IE MAF IT BRINGS UP ALL POSTS WITH THAT WORD IN IT AND TAKES TIME TO FIND THE RELATIVE POSTS

ok i think i'm on the same page as you now bob. I agree an index of useful threads would be great but who determines what's a useful thread? Some threads really help me out but other's would already know about the topic and not find it so useful. Could this be a matter of personal opinion? If a thread is found to be useful to many, how about we make it "sticky" so it stays at the top of the category it was posted in?

i see your point plassey. The ones that i were thinking of are of a technical nature ie the "cleaning the maf sensor" however i am open to any suggestions and maybe it would become cumbersome. Any way lets thrash it out

If you check the visitor messages in my profile I have already started keeping a list of links to useful threads.
