Front seats

Hi, I've just bought a new Nissan Patrol 4.8 GRX and was wondering if anybody out there noticed how skew the seats and steering are. I've started getting back pain on my right hand side and measured the seating position only to find that the whole set up is about 25mm offset. I did this measurement by placing a string across the doors with the windows down and a fishing weight on either side. I then measured the distance betwen the seat and string on the right hand side and on the left. I did the same with the steering wheel. Has anybody else got the same problem?
