Gu tb45 auto to Gq Td42 auto conversion

ok guys im about to do yet another petrol to diesel conversion keeping the auto in place
i will not be manualising the auto as the missus cant do it, feel free to give any input
as long you keep an open mind and have proven info, because im told you cant use
the original TCM but i have a few ideas

I did my TB45E auto to TD42T auto and kept the original TB45E ECU/TCU in place to run the auto. It's been running perfectly for 4 years but I did swap the TB45E TCU for a ZD30 unit and found it shifted better.

You can't use the TB45E TCU as a standalone unit. You must have the ECU and its wiring to the TCU intact.
