does a auto console come in 2 pieces????

a question for the people in the know-----i can get my hands on a console out of a 2000 auto gu.i am curious if the centre console comes in 2 pieces?---i just want the piece behind the gear stick bit---my truck is a manual & has the surround around the stick,does anyone know if the auto one will come apart?????:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::big grin:

They should both (manual & auto) be a 2 piece unit, one being the shifter surround and the other being the storage unit.
