Ta Thanks.

From that video test the rated D shackles outperformed the soft shackles.

All I want to do is lighten that recovery bag abit lol

When i finish my GQ i have 60m of 12mm rope to go on the himount. I will be using some of the excess to make a couple of 12mm Soft shackles. Very impressive.

You mean the Dyneema rope?
What kind of knot or how would you make one?

I always use soft shackles in preference to solid lumps of steel. Unless you're having issues with sharp edges, then they're the safer option.

I really like the idea of one less projectile.
Too many lives lost already for a hobby that should be a happy safe day out.

Noticed ARB are doing them now, will probably increase the popularity. Look like a good thing I reckon, had good intentions of having a go and making a couple but never got round to it [emoji6] . .

Would water affect them in anyway? Say snatching car submerged in water?

No. No issue at all. I hate Sntach straps though. If the car is deep then a winch should be used.

What kind of knot or how would you make one? Also check out grog knots app, is bloody handy for all sorts of knots.

Knots are a primary foundation of my job. And we have kilometres of 12mm rope at work ...
Guess what I'll be trying to make with some "offcuts" next week. :)

I have always stuck to the theory that if you can't tie knots, tie lots.

Can ya tie a monkey's fist? I tied one once just for kicks! Took a while!

Not a monkey's fist in opening post diagram, however would do the job. Might be a tad big though in 12mm.
