Outhouses, Thunderboxes, Dunnies, Crappas or whatever name they go by, a bit of an unusual topic that hopefully produce some interesting and funny entries.

Monthly Photo Competition guidelines (Please read)

* Each month a new competition thread will commence & all forum members are invited to submit their photos .

* Maximum of three entries per person.

* Multiple entries should be made in separate posts

* Each entry should consist of a single photograph & a short description only

* Comments pertinent to entries are encouraged, but please do not use this thread to engage in banter

* Photos MUST have been taken by the member posting the photos or members of their party.

* Any photo which has been a winner will not be eligible for re-entry in any future competition.

* Please do not post photos that are not entries in the competition.

* Please do not re-post other folks entries within the thread

* The winner of the month's competition gets to choose the following month's competition topic.

* All members are encouraged to vote for the photos they think should win. This will be done by pressing the 'Thanks' button located underneath each post. Toward the end of the month the date & time of competition closure will be announced. Following this time the thread will be locked & the 'Thanks' counted to determine the winner.

* 'Thanks' may be added or withdrawn at any time during the month up until the competition is closed.
You are welcome to thank as many different posts as you wish!

* In the event of a tied first place I will add a casting vote, except in circumstances where my entry is one of the tied ones, in which case I will withdraw my entry.

MB and I built an outhouse on my property for the forum meet ups using old corry and a replica spider.

Kids loved it but some female members weren't too impressed in using it...lol

We camped here for one night waiting for the rest of the group, no red-backs so fine to use.

The Outhouse at Whalesong campground on Dampier Peninsular.
It didn't have a door but had a sign attached with fishing wire strung up with Free on one side and Busy on the other that you turned around when using it.

At a mates house in the scrub. Was still in use when I was last there 6 months ago.

Taken in Kingaroy I think. I have used this photo with the thunder box in the back ground, as I think it`s a better photo of the three with the dunny in it and thought it was better to have the whole scene to get a better feel. On the dunny door, which has a chain and padlock, there is a blue sign with white lettering stating `Please keep our parks clean and tidy. Use toilet facilities in Lions Park`.

Entry 1

Re-Commissioned 1988 - Currently in-service and Routine Maintenance carried out. Had one similar on the farm when I was a younger fella in the 60's and about the only difference is that you found your way at night with a candle now we use a LED head light.

Its almost the end of the month so only a few days to get your shithouse photos in.
The comp will close for new entries on Tuesday around 10pm and voting will close Thursday 7pm SA time.

I have been slack and forgot to close the comp on Tuesday and tell everybody to vote. Had a mad week at work but that is no excuse.
It is now closed for new entries.

Can everybody please vote if they have not already and I will close the voting tomorrow at 8PM SA time and count the votes.

This months photo comp is now closed, have results shortly.

Votes are counted and with 15 votes we have a runaway winner with AB's entry of his Outhouse with a big spider, would probably be helpful scaring the crap out of people.

In second place we have AB again with 10 votes for his dunny from Dadswells Bridge that shows that the politicians really crap on us voters.

In third place we have 8 votes for Bob's log dunny before and after chilli.

We had a bit of bending of the rules this month, most notably AB trying to use his position to influence voters and Bob putting 2 photos in the same entry.
I let AB get away with it because he is the boss and with Bobs, who can argue with him. (except about coals on top)

@AB, can you please PM me the topic for December/January. (will run it over 2 months because of Christmas)
