Not SAAS. :p ... i have a VDO in my GQ and an Autometer in my GUIV and I reckon the VDO is a better unit.

VDO, auberins, autometer, glo-shift, Mcnally all do nice items.

Pretty sure Mrs MB's 4.2TD 'Redarc' EGT guage is broken. Keeps beeping and flashing above 550 Degrees when flogging it without an IC :-)
Are Redarc's even slightly worthy or have we been dudded :-( ?

Prefer and currently fitting VDO. Pyro probe and fittings are of good build quality and gauge has a clear plain face. Check the port thread in dump pipe, if one exists as supplied, to be compatible with thread fitting on EGT. VDO has 1/4"NPT(m) fitting but my exhaust dump had two ports (EGT "1/8"BSP & Oxy "18mm x 1.5mm). I decided to use large port and found a reducing bush adaptor SS 18x1.5mm to 1/4" NPT. Secure Fit.

Running the McNally jobbie in mine. Boost is easy to read on the fly and so is the EGT read out.

Another one for vdo nice and simple and easy to read. Redarc usually make nice stuff so assume they're good

Big fan of VDO as well but the latest one put in when the engine was done is reading 40 degrees less than it should.

Standard install no wires cut obviously...
