Patrol bought new in 2007

Fitted a bull bar, snorkle and fridge with duel battery when first bought the truck

Three years later we accessorised as you can see.

Next is to go under the bonnet and make it an even more awsome ride!!

Our intention is to be self sufficent in the bush as we plan to do all the outback roads we can find!!

I just love the outback.

Already have a steinbauer chip and 3" exhaust but looking into a bigger intercooler, oil catch can, an extra fuel filter (glass bowl) and as I learn things on the forum that will help to keep the motor in top condition I would consider it. My biggest problem is the handbrake..........and not the one in the truck!!!!!!!

How did you find the difference with the chip? Worth it??

Made a huge difference in turbo lag and take off round the town. With the Exhaust on as well sand driving is a real pleasure heaps of grunt down low.

Just an update.
Fitted a OME steering damper. It has made an improvement in the general feel through the steering wheel. Every one I asked before I fitted it, said it wouldn't make any difference but hey what do they know!! hahahaha

Also fitted " henietta" for some under body protection and a bit of bling while she's still shiny!!

The Nissanpatrol.com.au stickers look great and feel proud to wear them.

I have had four Brand new Patrols over my 4WD life and after each trip would spend hours trying to get them to look like new. Even had a TI with Leather Seats and they were all great Paint Jobs.
I now own a 98 White GU which gets a run through the Car Wash upon return from Tripsn No more cutting and polishing to get out the custom Pin Sripes and keep it shiny.
It only took about 23 years to wake up.

Having said all of the above your GU looks the goods and a credit to you

You are going to be disgusted with me (and rightly so!!) but I have never done a mileage test!! Bought the rig knowing its as aerodynamic as a house brick but you can't do The Simpson in a RX8!
In saying all that I did take the mileage and Litres when we did Googs Track but too scared to work them out!! hahahaha
We did the track knowing it is boosting way to high so now have a needle valve kit to fit plus other things so will do another test when all is done.

Great looking truck mate, well done!

I am interested in finding out more about your gauges in the centre of the dash. Did you make the gauge holder or buy it?

Any info would be great, looking at doing similar. Great idea
