Have come up with a simple way to make this pita of a job quick & easy.
you know trying to jamb the larger cables into the the crimp ends is almost impossible without trimming strands off.
Note -using flared end type fittings is a must have as in pics

Trim the insulation off and the end will swell up making it hard to fit into terminal end.
with the insulation removed ea strand is now free to bend how ever it wants.
this cable is 0 gauge near thumb thick and a royal pain to work.

Now get 2 cable ties.
70326.
Important---inner very tight, outer one tight enough.
The ties stiffen up the strands allowing you get the job done

Now fit the terminal onto the end as it will slide on over now much easier.

Start to turn 360 deg and push it on as you go.
twisting it left right doesn't work, it makes the strands bunch up and that's not wanted one little bit .
just keep twisting & pushing one way.
the looser outer tie will slide down as you work it till both ties are touching together.
70328.

Now cut only the outer tie off leaving the inner one alone.
70329.

Continue to work the end down to the next tie.
now cut last tie away and continue working end down till you hit insulation.
70330.

Crimp and cover with heat shrink etc finished.
this way, start to finish I had each end snugged down no time at all ready for shrink tube.
A cheap hydraulic crimper off ebay pays for it's self easily in 1 winch job = 5 large cables =10 ends to crimp.
Hope this helps ya out of trouble.
Cheers.
