Enjoy it Nic. Great area that one, which I'm yet to visit. Unfortunately cannot commit this time.
I believe Mudski has been around there heaps of times.

Well we chickened out on the camping due to the forecast but went up for a day drive and had look, it looks like a great spot! Not very open but perfect for couples camping. On the way we picked up a roof top map and found a few lumpy tracks over the range looking for a short cut to our mates house in Buxton, not as scenic as knock wood but certainly some challenging tracks, there was a section I was thankful for the auto locker and auto gear box as I just cruised easily ish over some nice rocky steps, it was enough to scare Tegan though lol.

Plenty more tracks to see up there though, can't wait to be back up there, next time will try convince my Buxton mate to come out for a play in his Landy and will base ourselves at his place.

Thanks AB and Alitis007 for the suggestions to head there

Just saw this one.

Wow Murrindini.
Last time I was up there would have been easy over 20 years ago back in my early 20s. Managed to finish off a small bottle of beam straight between Epping and getting there. Fark I was was in a bad way for a few hours.

Don't know what it's like now, but I do remember if you walked 10 feet away from the campsite into the woods it was pretty easy to get disorientated and the running creek was had clean water.

Ahhh. Thanks for the memories Nic.
