Can't seem to find the disclaimer....

Anyway.

As it states 29/30 October toolangi.
Place your names down as a yes/no/maybe/I wish and if you want to camp the night.(We did last time with Lucas, was good).

I'm learning more towards a Saturday drive with a slight possibility of camping, haven't told the Mrs yet..

I'm only starting this as there was some interest, don't really know the area too well, but don't mind getting the ball rolling. If it all falls over. Oh well...

Noticed a few new names, great chance to introduce yourselves.

1. Jay see. Saturday maybe camping

Melbourne cup is one of the better public holidays for going away as so many people have to work on the Monday.
We've got a little getaway in Lakes Entrance booked or else I would come along.

I'm a shift worker....what are these public holidays you speak of. That is simply the first weekend I am not working. The weekend after (5th/6th) would suit me just as well.

Heading to Glen Maggie that weekend. Taking the father in law out with his Brand New Everest

Sounds good mate, I'll touch base with you closer to the date.

At this stage not sure if we may do our own trip, or tag along on another if a good one comes up on 4wd trip

Good idea planning not the get aways before baby comes along, get them while you can!!

Hey mate I've done a couple trips, my Dad has done a few as well as leading one.

The website platform is really good and easy to use. One grip is that the trips fill up really quickly and there never seem to be enough people leading them (same situation in 4wd clubs as well I think), and you quite often get people saying they're going and then pulling out last minute - less likely with a club or group IMO as there is more of a group feeling and attachment(?)

As with all trips you get good and bad blokes, but overall I think the platform and the concept it a solid one and its providing a great opportunity to get out bush and meet new people.

I've noticed Dspies on there a couple times, but no one else that I'm familiar with from here

I might have to pull the pin gents.

I pick the engine up next week.

That weekend will be the weekend to clean everything up and work out the plan as I need to change my turbo lines at Pirtek to suit the new block, work out a new blanking plate for the vac pump and sort out a plan.

If I can take Monday off I have a 4 day weekend to get this puppy in!!!
