interesting categorie?

In my hay days i backpackered all over the world but never actually went outback 4wding in the 12 countries i visited.

Has anyone ever been 4wding overseas?

I would have loved to 4wd'd through Africa somewhere...That would have been cool!

I'd actually like to take a 4wd trip to Tassie! Yeah yeah I know.. we don't class going to Tassie as going "overseas" ..but It's over a sea!

Tassie looks awesome. Great tracks, great fishing and great weather! :D I like the cooler weather. Would love to get over there with a bunch of my mates.

Tassie is a great place for a road trip.

I haven't done any 4wding down there but i have travlled a lot around in Tassie and It's worth the trip.

Especially taking your own 4wd on the Spirit of Tassie.

Would be interesting if anyone here has done 4wding down there???

Its not a great story but i went 4wding in Italy and it was bollocks, I'm sure they took me on the woosy grandma trails but the general landscape and time of the year was just driving miss daisy style!

Would be interesting to see other stories about OS hardcore 4x4ing....I think USA would be a great place to go solo and explore the country offroad!

After watching all these You Tube videos lately of those crazy buggers rolling their 4x4's in dubai I would actually like to see it in person.

Not mention the islands they man made with the countries and the enormous structures.

Would be an experience thats for sure...

Maybe in time a planed forum trip to Tassie might be something worth considering? Cos I know I wouldn't mind doing a trip like that.

The Kiwi's are right into their 4WDing, and have some great scenery. That's where I'd like to go. The closest I've been to overseas 4WDing is Fraser Island!

I went 4wding on a big island off Malaysia many many moons ago.

Bets fun ever.

Completely different terrain then what we are used to.

Wet, slippery as all hell and deep into the rain forest's.

It was one of the best 4wding i have ever experiened.

One minute your climbing a rocky bank next minute tiny monkeys are jumping all over your car...hehe

i've got some photos on my work computer, I'll grab em this week and post em up here for you guys to have a look.

100% recommend anyone who goes overseas to grab a 4b and head inland to see the true country.

We go to Thailand quite often. We stay for part of the time in Koh Samui and there are some pretty awesome 4wd's and tracks out there. I've only driven up a relatively easy hill climb in a lil stock sukuki. I'll try diggn up the photos of some of their rigs. This year we head off over again and am gunna try to book a session I'll keep ya posted!

Simon Christie goes all over the place off roading mainly south east Asia . And their mud and slop makes anything in Aus look like a toddlers playground.
I enjoy seeing his show overseas.
