Hey all
I have found a bull bar on eBay that is alloy and has been modified to fit a winch. It is for my gq does any one have any opinions on this

When you say modified to take a winch, do you mean it has room behind it once mounted to install a steel winch frame?? The alloy bar isn't strong enough at all, so usually it's a case of retrofitting them to allow a steel housing to be bolted in behind in which the winch sits ... This one looks like mine (as big as I could get it without completely losing the image) and mine definitely is NOT winch compatible ...

No expert on this, it only look like the steel plate attached the uprights inside the bar. I would probably still go for an aftermarket winch plaet to take the stress of the aluminium, they're $150 or so, but it puts the winch directly on the cahsis rail not the alloy bar..
