Hi All,

Just picked up an Engel and without a canopy at the moment I am wondering the best way to ensure no thieving bastard takes my fridge, whose got some ideas for me?

Cheers

Mine is in the Patrol all the time I use the Engel transit base no straps,
you could weld some 6mm chain onto a bolt head and padlock it around the handle

You can buy cages for them or make your own from some ARC fencing panels

Chain around the handle? If someone really wants it they'll take it regardless what you do.

Take the feet off and bolt it from underneath, works well if bolts are hard to get to.
Could use tamperproof bolts I suppose.

That was my initial thought chain around the handle and then around the tray support and back again and padlock it, but then the handles are only held on with 4 phillips head screws

True. You could drill them out or get some of those anti vandal screws to make it harder but that all it would do.

run bare wire over it and connect a capacitor to it and hide the switch.... if you run enough voltage you don't even need to touch it...

I think Macca had the best and neatest idea, could even use torq head bolts to secure it to the tray.
could even if you need it remove feet and bolt it to a fridge slide then bolt the fridge slide to the tray.
Is it getting any protection from the elements, you could maybe get a lockable cabinet made, out of
sight out of mind. lol

Yep that's the direction I am going in, just need the funds to get it built.
