2008 patrol starting problems

Hi. I have a 08 patrol ute that has starting issues. Initial start up - cranks forever but no start. After about 4th or 5th attempt she fires. After this it starts every time. It seems to need to be primed before start up. Almost as if there is a fuel drain back. fuel pump has been tested - ok, has new fuel filter, also has had fuel rail replaced. Has anyone experienced this or got any solutions please??

Is it diesel of petrol?

Did you get to the bottom of your problem mate? If so post up what you found out it may help others.

Yep, I haven't got any ideas but would be interested in the outcome

Finly did same, was delivery valaes i diesel pump. Needed new seats, & seals(o'rings), also got clamps not used. $100.00
