Cunnamulla to Birdsville via Innamincka

Hi all

Planning trip to WA and above is one sector of trip.
Journey to Innamincka is straight forward but need advice on Innamincka to Birdsville. Maps and GPS show road/track north roughly following Qld border to meet road to Birdsville from the east. From there plan to head north to Boulia again following border then across to Alice via Plenty Highway
Anyone done the trip or any other advice. Leave about 20th April.

That would be the walkers crossing rd , comes out about 50k south of birdsville, comfortable 2 day drive , subject to road conditions, in sept guys were towing rather large offroad vans through it , i did not do it as I wanted to do the Birdsville and strezlekie tracks ,
