My current winch, Supercheep Auto 9500lb winch is very close to the 2 bracing straps on the bulbar.

Is it possible to space the winch back a bit more from the bulbar without compromising its ability?
I am about to install a 12000lb winch and it will have the same issues, namely the gearbox leaver is too close to the bulbar and the 2 bracing straps.

Looks like a 5-10 mm a space is needed to clear this issue.

Doing a search seems spacers were/are used with some ARB bullbars, but not seem much re Nissan bullbars.

It would seem that certain brands of winch need to be stepped back from the bar a bit to make the gear leaver assessable and to wind the rope on properly.

Dose anyone know what the Nissan Winch kit consists of?
Any issue spacing the winch back by 5 – 10mm from the face of the Nissan bullbar?

I made some 30mm spacers for my Warn xp9.5
into a TJM T13 outback bar with no issues

Thanks TD. Seems its not going to be an issue beside making the spacers. Anyway I have a 10mm bar so no big deal.

I didn't think it was an issue. I am interested in the Nissan winch kit though. From the local dealer it sounds like 2 bars and a plate of some form. they don't know as they have not physically seen one. Mr Nissan has not been helpful, as per normal, either.

Query:
Since the main body of the winch is not steel, is there any issue in using aluminium spacers vs steel ones?
