Hey guys I'll be in tassie (Hobart) 3rd to 7th June on a campervan holiday with the wife and I have been blessed with being able to go for a hunt for 1 day. If anyone can help a brother out and take me on a hunt it would be appreciated I have a 22 a 22/250 and a 7mm rem mag. I'd really love deer but will settle for anything let me know so I can bring the correct firearm for the game.

LOL. Hobart to Burnie is 325kms. Everything is within 400kms.

There are plenty of places here in TAS that you can visit with your camper van. Bay of Fires, St Helen's, Bichino, Swansea, Bruny Island, Port Aurthur, Queenstown, Strawn, Stanly, Ulverston just to name a few. TAS is not very big and you can get any where in less than a day. I dont do any hunting but do a lot of camping and 4WDing here in TAS. You will love it. You wont see much in just a couple of days though. Shame you couldn't be here for a month just for a quick lap.

but Tassie has some awesome sights 10,000 yo Huon pine forests
Just watched a docu. Tassie is very unique fauna and flora wise
Postcard perfect around every corner. Oh and the oldest pub
in a paddock

We stayed at the pub on the very corner (south east) of the cbd Macca. Theres a few boats hanging around the harbour there with the best seafood you can buy!!!

The Salamanca market is right there too.

Been back and forward to the island for some 45 years and the last trip was for 3 months and covered around 8000 K`s and not back tracking. Every time we go back we find something new. Hobart is tourist orientated but it`s when you get out and in the bush that you appreciate Tas. One place is a MUST, it is arty, but don`t be fooled it`s well worth look and that is THE WALL IN THE WILDERNESS near Derwent Bridge, The only disappointment is you cannot take Photos, A book is available for purchase. You can camp at the pub for free. Check out the attractions at the country town info centres as all are very helpful,and most know the out of the way places.

The must see places to go in Hobart is to the top of Mt Wellington. It only takes 20min from the CDB. During winter there is snow on it as well however in June it might be to early for the snow but you never know. You can do a beer tour at Cascade Brewery just 5 min from the CBD and you have the world renowned Lark Distillery right on the water front. Bottles start from around $60 for the cheep ones all the way to $18000 for the top of the range stuff. Also there is MONA in Berriedale which is the biggest and most expensive privately owned museum in the world. This is only 20min from the CBD. You can catch the MONA ferry from the wharf to MONA and back and well worth the trip.

As for seafood any restaurant in Salamanca will cater for that or you can go to Barilla Bay restaurant next to the Hobart Airport.

Just another forest yet to become woodchips unfortunately 3d.

Have an awesome trip macca and if you can't work out a hunt you can always go fishing, there are some great fishing charters down near eagle hawk neck I can't remember what ones we have used previously though.
