Found a nice bargain: stratos 3000 comfort seats for 350 :-)

The seller told me they bolt in on the gu rails, now 2 hours further and I am doubting it. I am unsure if I am doing it wrong, my gu3 seat is the problem or that I need an additional bracket. Looked online but I cant find enough info so hopefully somebody here knows what goes wrong.

I uncoupled one of the rails and thr distance between the holes is a bit off. I am unable to get the second rails off due to the height seat adjuster.

Anybody any ideas?

I have the Strato 3000 ,but Ive used the Strato rails,
You need to cut a piece of rubber where they bolt to the floor.
Ive also spaced my one up 40mm for better vision. I will be removing it
soon hopefully and replace it with the Strato suspension seat.
Great seat IMHO

I will have a look for some stratos rails :)

What is the reason for the rubber and how did you space them up?

When I first installed it I could feel every vibration , [I have crook back]
so I removed it and refitted the OE bucket seat, Thought about it for a while
and re fitted it using 6mm rubber pads, WOW what a difference, I have Aldi canvas seat covers
fitted as well as my sheep skin covers were too bulky for the thigh bolsters.
Highly recommend this seat to anyone for off road or touring use

I bought the stratos fitting kitting but it didnt fit, they now emailed me that the seat is too old and that they cannot help me.
The recliners are too far apart and the inboard seat belt fixing point is in the way. Did you had any of these problems threedogs?

No I didnt , bolt a piece of 40mm x 6 mm across the OE rails and mark where the Strato bolt holes are.
From memory they are 350mm apart but check to be sure, very easy to re fit to OE rails IMHO

my nissan drivers seat is one of the newer ones with suspension etc and I am unable to detach the rails. I will have a look if I can get an original driver seat from the wreckers and set the rails over :)

A set of rhs rails should be cheap enough I would imagine
