So this morning i came out to find my hose looking like this???
http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2015/05/310.jpg

Yesterday i decided to jack up the front of the car and bleed the cooling system with the plastic bottle in the filler cap.

Not long ago i had a cheap hose clamp fail so suspected air had got in and this was my reason for bleeding it.

Once happy all the air was out i closed of the cap and lowered the car.. any ideas?

When water gets hot it expands and goes into the overflow or expansion tank. When it cools down it needs to be able to pull water back from the expansion tank back into the radiator. looks like the return line is blocked or the cap on the radiator is not allowing return flow.

And it was??????????
Recovery tank blockage and not letting the coolant back into the system when it was cooling down?

Radiator cap is not a recovery type cap?

Your tube in the overflow tank was stuck to the bottom because it was too long ?

The hose is obviously missing the inner spring.

90% of suction hoses do but outlet (pressure) hoses don't.

There is no point as the only way you can collapse an outlet hose is if you... Oh, wait...
