Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has a GUIII Wagon and has fit an air tank on it,where was it fitted?

I have been reading up on old articles and there's one with a 9L tank mounted behind the trim of the LHR quarter, sitting on top of the wheel arch, however I bought a 9L tank today and mocked up the fit, but the trim wont sit flush if the tank is there and the tank itself wont fit as the legs put it out a few mm.

Is there anywhere people could suggest it get fitted which keeps it both hidden and safe from blunt force?

Cheers.

I know it been a while since you posted, but I have just mounted a air 10l tank under the vehicle, passengers side just forward of the rear spring arch, that was the easy part , fitting the 12v compressor under the bonnet took a bit longer, switched from inside the vehicle through a relay and a pressure switch.

Not familiar with them, but if thinking of getting an air tank I reckon these are worth looking at. Exceptional quality constuction & finish, lighter than steel tanks & won't rust.

What will the tank be used for I have a few the size cuppa has and some smaller ones.
What do you need the tank for, if lockers a small hotdog style on the sill bolted to the
chassis rails is the norm, other than that you could bolt it to your Cargo barrier ,make
sure the piping between the pump and tank is copper and protected from heat as it
will get hot.
@ cuppa no room under the tray to bolt that tank ??

Plenty of room on the inside of the chassis ,under drivers side or passenger side.
Thats where Im fitting a hotdog style tank,
To make fitting it easier you'll need push in fitting 10mm would be a great size to fill it.
worked a treat on the other 4x4, you'll need a 4 port manifold, a non return valve. and
a pressure switch to suit
