For Sale Shippshape Rooftop Tent TENT IS NOW SOLD
As you probably already know Shippshape are among the very best, if not THE best rooftop tents that money can buy. They are made in Australia from the best Australian materials and are tents made to last a lifetime not just a couple of trips. If however you are considering purchasing a rooftop tent for a one off trip, you can be assured of good re-sale value. They hold their price very well unlike cheaper tents.
Their design has remained unchanged since Mr Shipp first perfected them. This design has remained popular because it is so flexible & ‘just works’.
We bought this tent for our future long term travels around Australia, but my aging back, occasionally dodgy knees & my wife’s dodgy hip have seen us decide to tow our bedroom. We would have preferred not to tow for easier access into remote areas, but hope that the Tvan we’ve bought will still get us to most places in similar comfort.
We’ve owned the tent for about 4 years, but have only used it once or twice a year for short breaks of a few days at a time. We paid $2500 for the tent (second hand) + $600 for the mattress. Asking price is $2500. (new price with foam mattress is close to $5000). People tend to hang on to these tents, so this is a good opportunity if you’re ‘in the market’ for one. It is the sort of tent which will give you that sense of warm satisfaction with your choice every time to set it up or pack it away.
I’m putting this up on the forum, & a couple of other forums prior to advertising more widely & will post here when it is sold.
