So I've pulled the tank onto the bench and here something rattling around.
So pulled the sender to find the float has parted ways.
Next I notice this
5504755048

So wtf?? Clearly wasn't drawing fuel from here. But was returning threw the non soldered pipe.

So I start pulling the other lines.

Looks like they drew from the back end of the tank..

So can anyone clarify wtf is going on. Is it best to draw from back corner or should I plumb up as per manual and hook into the sender when I ger a new one?

Yeah mine draws and returns from the rear with the lines on the sender crimped & soldered. It's a bit weird, but i think AB has his set up to draw from the sender, so i guess both will work.

I think I remember seeing winnies tank and seeing lots of baffles. Mine has 2.. One just forward of the sender and the other behind.
So quite open really

Drawing from the rear of the tank may help when it is lower[level] and surges under acceleration

Thanks td. Hit up that thread last night.
I guess yea it shouldn't matter. And I was wondering if the tank ran down hill towards the rear??

Can anyone find the lra install manual? I saw Darren post it the other day but the search is turning up nothing.

Type in sub tank for title search only and you'll find it

Yea got it. And must have missed that second pic you put up in that thread.

And I now understand the 48 mm reducer but you mentioned. Sorry about that.

Yes I'm pretty certain mine is a petty tank. I have some scale inside which will need cleaning.
