Hi,

I have had the d250s installed for a few months now. All working well.

When I did the install and auto sparky mate lent a hand and we installed massive gauge wire between the crank and aux battery. I think 300 or 600 amp wire!! I didn't really know why, but I think he was thinking it is a simple VSR.

I now know this isn't correct, should I redo with the recommended 30 amp wire?

Hi Husky,

Standard.

From LHS to RHS. 1.5m cable.

Massive overkill for a DC DC charger... but
Seeing as it is in there then you may as well leave it unless you want to save some weight.

The heavy gauge will not affect the operation of the D250 one iota

TET,

Thanks.

I'll leave it then. It ain't broke.

I have a world of electrical stuff to install so will tidy up eventually.

x2 TET..

Some folks have a battery in the rear but even at that distance that cable is not going to have loss.
