Patrol Z30 Flexplate snapped

Hi there,

my Patrol broke down 2 days ago and i pulled the gearbox out. I´m wondering if the shaft what comes out of the engine is broken too? Or do i need only a ned flex plate?

The shaft you refer to is the crank shaft. I wouldn't think it's damaged, while you have it apart, put a new rear main seal in.

ouch that looks nasty, I'd be more worried about the input shaft to the auto the crankshaft should be fine

Was the convertor bolt missing or did you remove it? If it fell out, it could have played a role in the problem allowing the plate to flex more.
I don't quite understand why we can't see the 7 bolts that bolt it to the crankshaft. Is that the end of the crankshaft in the centre?
