Hi shorty lover. Usually members post an introduction before asking questions. It just helps us all to relate to the new member. Go to the introductions section.
I am sure that someone will help you with your problem. Welcome anyway.

Hi

Have you worked on the diff recently? if so it could be a different ratio to the rear
Cheers

This does not sound good, something in the front drive is jamming or binding to cause this.
Jack one front wheel up at a time and turn that wheel by hand, have both hubs locked in and the transfer case in neutral or 2WD. Can you feel any binding?
Next jack up and support both sides of the front diff so both wheels are off the ground, again with hubs locked in and transfer in neutral or 2WD. Slide under the car and rotate the front tailshaft by hand. Can you feel any binding?
Let us know the results.

Howdy, Yeah thanx for your reply nothing seems to bind up when on stands, just the norm 1 wheel turn front ways and other turn backwards???(open Centre)??? It did have a big hit wen i went down a ditch, and yeah since then it goes mad wen the front hubs are locked in and heaps of resistance to try and drive foward if in 4x4 h or low.Just wen hubs get locked in the problem happens, if front hubs arent locked in car drives normal also realised i had to reverse to unlock Rhfront hub so i pulled it apart thinkin mabye somethin bent or faulty hubs but all seems ok.diff feels ok nothig unusal to report Bent Diff Housing??? looks a bit out but not enough to cause a problem i dident think> Cheers Scotty Shorty lover

Have you tried turning the front drive shaft while both front wheels are off the ground and hubs locked in?

You would have to take the front diff housing out and take it to a diff specialist to get it checked for straightness but I would be checking a lot of other things before going down that path.

Yeah when it happent it was like the front shaft had locked up, and the hubs wouldent unlock so got it towed home but once i got it on the stands it released. I tried different combos wen on stands hubs locked in 4x4 not locked not in 4x4 and nothing seemd out of ordinary. I might put it back together and try a drive without the front drive shaft on??? There is no clunking or such from the diff wen driving but yeah wont be pullin diff out unless i realy have 2. any other thoughts mate?

Do your drive test without the front driveshaft as you suggested. Then pull the diff drain plug out and check for chunks of metal on the magnet (magnet is part of the drain plug).
