Turbo =/= Auto Trans... Bad Combo?

Hi everybody,

am planning to install a turbocharger for my 4.8 GU and here's the thing,

From my experience, the Manual Transmission is a better choice if I wanted a performance upgrade,

but since it would be costly to change my Tiptronic to a Manual, are there any upgrades besides

the Heavy Duty clutches for my Gearbox?:bowdown:

Turbos work very well with automatic transmissions because the turbo can stay on boost during gearchanges.
Talk to a transmission specialist about performance upgrades.
A BIG transmission cooler will be needed.

Thx for the Info, but since I really dont know any auto specialist, Just wanted to ask...

Does the stock internal cope with the new Hp?

They will initially but for how long? It depends what condition the transmission internals are in, how much power/torque you make it cope with and how hard you drive it.
