G'day to the troll family, I'm keen on doing a day trip with some experienced 4 wheelers this summer. I'm in south east Melbourne but will travel to somewhere that's easier for everybody. Ive got a stock 03 3ltr patrol with nads (except catch can) with at tyres with good tred. I will have rated recovery points before we go,(hope I don't need to use em) hopefully from three dogs but he doesn't know it yet. Lol. I'm not in any hurry, just wanted to get the ball rolling. What do you guys n gals think?

G'day Paul,

Keep an eye out mate as there is a good great of guys in Vic that do a it of driving. I am sure you can hook up.

If your not doing anything for the first week of Jan 2015 I am heading over to Beachport SA for 10 days of beach driving. Will be a great trip and Newby friendly. If you have never driven on sand its a whole other animal.

I know what to do, but the patrol being a stocky limits me.

Don't have exact dates Atm, but myself and a few mates will be heading out to the high country over the break, I'll get dates very soon, feel free to join, I could do with another recovery vehicle on the trip; ) we all know 1 patrol can do it all but another 1 would be great.

I'd be up for this too if possible. Also a newbie to 4wd, have a fairly well spec'd truck and would be keen to try a few tracks but don't want anything extreme that will be outside of my novice abilities or wreck my truck, just some fun driving, a few climbs/decents and maybe some water/mud....oh and maybe a campfire and few laughs.

Cheers
Mark

Is there anything we can do to give you a hand BA? I'm a maintenance fitter by trade so in kinda handy in the tools, plus I said I'd get that catch can of you, so I could kill 2 birds with the one stone.

Ok sounds like we have few takers. What do we do now, set a date and make Bloodyaussie work his tail off. Hahaha. Where did you guys go last year? Should we go to the same spot or somewhere different?

We took a trip to Tallarook. It's not a bad spot for Beginners to learn a few things and have some fun.
