Not getting anything either. Maybe because we are paid sponsors
I'd say one of the advertisers are doing a dodgy

What is the pop up?

Next time it happens let me know what the certificate says. When it pops up press the print screen button, open up paint shop, paste it in there save it and upload it to the forum.

What virus protection do you have?

There is a virus which some software doesn't detect which puts a script into your browser to show pop up ads on certain sites which they can generate money from. Completely harmless but annoying for the user.

The thing is on the top advert I've noticed some ads that are displayed that if you leave your mouse cursor over the advert for 5 seconds it generates a pop up flash advert too.

Download and run an adware program like Malwarebytes Anti-Malware

Virus's and adware are 2 different things and that is adware and I very doubt is forum related

Righto.. I just installed malwarebytes and it found 2 threats. Which is f@#ked because Norton,AVG and McAfee were all payed for and they didnt pick it up, and that has pissed me right off,

If it happens again where do I go from here

Stop downloading porn!

Not 100% but Norton,AVG and MCafee I don't believe contain adware file definitions, so won't pick it up as it was adware not a virus. Sure one of the tech heads will give u a better answer.

You can either purchase malwarebytes which detects malware automatically in real-time, before it can infect unlike the free version or you can just use the free version every few days

Just read this on AVG's site

Adware software can display and/or download advertisements and may be considered privacy-invasive. Adware applications are however not harmful and their detection is disabled by default in AVG. Adware tracks your computer's web usage to feed you undesired ad pop ups or redirect you to unwanted pages.

So that at least clarifies that anti virus software does scan for adware
