Hi Guys. Is there a type of switch out there that clips into the stock locations on the GU dash or is it a case of drilling out and fitting rocker switches.
I did find a genuine driving light switch on patrol parts but not keen on having a whole heap of switches that all have driving light symbols on them :1087:
Cheers

Search for Carling switches on eBay mate. They are the same as the ARB Difflock switches and look great.

You can pretty well get any switch cover you like these days. Under $20 a switch delivered.

Thanks for that. There's certainly an assortment.

Be warned the cheap Carling type switches are junk. I have them, 5 in total, and all have broken the rocker from the switch. Pay the extra and get Carling or Narva ones.

Im thinking about the Narva ones. A little more expensive but thats not much of an issue.

I agree with Westy's Mark sorry. The switch covers on the ARB and the cheap ebay snare near identical. They are easy to break the tabs regardless who makes them. I have a tool to remove them that is made for that task. I bought it from a guy selling them at a Swap meet, he couldn't believe how many of the tools he'd sold. Makes it easy.

I have 11 eBay switches and 3 ARB switches in the GQ and would happily buy again without hesitation. My GQ and the switches in it get a flogging.

Fair enough Darren. I have a Narva switch with me now and it feels alot better than the cheaper eBay ones. Cant say on the ARB ones though. I just assumed they would be better. The Narva one, the plastic on the sides of the rocker itself where it clips onto the switch looks a little heavier. And thats where all of mine have broken.

You must need that tool to change the rockers, I brought a[red] led light bar cover instead of a 'roof light' one and it broke the tabs very easily.
Ended up buying complete switch easy peasy

Forum Archeology time!
I know this is almost 10yo post, but I saw this tool the other day browsing some online shops so I came back here to add a link for completeness:

I have also found these "single option" switches:

And these ones where you have "dual switches" per switch, a space saver for those people with more switches then a WW2 aircraft:
