View Full Version : How install 2 inch lift

Need help, not sure wats the easiest way to install a lift kit. Only ever worked on leaf spring. Gq swb

It was surprising easy to do.
Just work slowly, it's only 2-3 hrs work with a few tools and a jack.
Although I can't remember the exact order we did it in.
I think for front undid the shockers first, then jacked up the car leaving the wheels on the ground, removed and replaced springs lowered back down with shocks back in place. Tighten. Done.
Same with the rear except had to undo something to do with the brakes.

Although I did my GU, I don't think it's much different.

Please can someone confirm if I'm remembered correctly.

I had to undo my sway bar links front and rear as well when I did mine in the GQ. Also it the front brake hose onto the diff I undid then moved the bracket a bit then refixed.

Other than that Megomonster is spot on. Just remem re to chock the wheels incase it rolls and jack up the chassis and body not the diffs. Haha
