Welcome to the forum mate.

First off you can access the manuals here on this forum but you will need to have 25 posts on the forum before you can download them for free.

A good place to start is in the introductions section, its a great way to get to know some of the members here.

This forum is a very large source of information itself & the members here are friendly & always willing to help.

So take some time & look aroud the place, who knows you may end up being a forum junky (just like us) after all....lol

Hi Jase, what brower are you running?

The manual is a big file so it may take a few minutes to download. Not sure if you'll get a progress bar or not. If your using Firefox it should show a little progress bar at the bottom left of screen. It could also open up the PDF in another internet page which will have a blank white page until it downloads fully. That could take anywhere from a minute to ten minutes depending on your connection speed.

What do you mean trying it all out??? just getting your post up by posting crap 2 get the manuals, btw you did have a couple of good post in here 2. yeh I might not be a friendly as per your PM, but hay I just obey the forum rules and try to help enforce them. It's people like you that abuse the rules.

Yeah same here, there is not 16 chapters there is supposed to be 12. It only goes to page 16 of chapter 9. 302 pages in total. It is missing the last three chapters which are suspension, body, and electrical diagrams. Can anyone post those parts up at all. Murphy's law says those are the ones I always need. Factory manual is good but less descriptive than this type.

Andy, Have just checked this myself and confirm it is missing chapter 10 to 12, I will add this post to your original post so members are aware before downloading

Chapter 10: Suspension and Steering components
Chapter 11: Body
Chapter 12: Chassis Electrical System and Wiring Diagrams

Not wanting to post 25 replys of average ol rubbish, and being unable to extract these manuals off my phone(may or may not have been pegged at a tree) is there any way to make it so this doesnt happen again? Ive been on this forum for a fair while and it seems every now and again I'm denied, usually when I'm up to the elbows in grease and dirt and running about four thousand swears a minute because the phone wont zoom in on a page of this very manual because of said greasy hands or ya wash ya hands then their damp and it wont work so then ya peg it at the aformentioned tree and go inside to use ya trusty new laptop. Which I cant download it on because im an apparent newby all over again. And luckily the laptop is too expensive to peg at a tree and the internet is too hard to physically throw anywhere.

I am a new member (West Auckland, NZ) as the proud owner of a standard 1991 Nissan Patrol manual non-turbo 4.2 - the simplest beast I can find. In fact has anyone worked out why Nissan hardly ever supplies manual transmisisons any more?? It's our second one after the previous one (same model but with high roof) rusted out around the sunroof. But even better after going through two Landcruisers that totally rusted out. And I joined because I want to find out how to do some simple things like replace the steering wheel, dashboard lights - stuff like that. If I can find out through the manual, fine, but there may be quicker options if others have done these things themselves.

Thank you for the download. I've just managed to get a 1995 GQ TD4.2 as a donor vehicle, to swap the 2.8 engine from my GU, after nearly 2 years of searching. This manual is going to help me greatly.

Hi Motym,

You will need a program that reads PDF files, something like Adobe Reader DC is free or just google PDF viewer.

Just rebuild my TD 42 now, Had the black machined and theres a new updated liner than can be used, The liners are much thicker and eliminate the age old problem of the block cracking,

Hey everyone, new on here, was in desperate need for the user manual, my old girl (97 GQ td42) is now officially off the road and is in need of some serious TLC. Starting the slow process of fixing her up. She is my first project so im a little out of my depth but im hopeful that with forums like this and some advice from some mechanic mates i wont screw up too bad. Thanks for the download, life saver. Wish me luck. Cheers.

Hey just trying to fix the gearbox td42 2inch lift on 33 tyres just wont go into gear while in a mudd hole cheers

Youve most likely got mud between the clutch and flywheel. You need to remove the clutch fork boot and get a hose (which is probably impossible where you are) and run it flat out in there while depressing the clutch pedal
